WORK SHIFT

COMMISSION

By Tyler Mills

The workers in a power company spend their days doing jobs that feel meaningless for a terrible boss. They pass the time by playing pranks, competing over clients, and breaking the rules whenever they can. Then someone asks, “What if instead of breaking the rules, we made them?” A play that borrows from ideas like Bargaining for the Common Good and examples like the Chicago Teacher’s Union to show that while going to work can be ludicrous, it can also be liberating.
